Its main mission is to deepen the basic knowledge of physiological and pathological processes related to the nervous system, cardiovascular system and metabolic functions. For seventy years it has been systematically conducting research in the field of normal and pathological physiology with a special focus on biomedical research. The main focus of the research is the search for pathophysiological mechanisms and elucidation of the origin of major human diseases in order to contribute to the development of new approaches in their effective therapy, prevention and improved diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p>We have prepared a number of activities to mark the 70<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the Institute this year. We have created a new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgu.cas.cz\/upload\/files\/IPHYS%20brochure%202024-web2.pdf\">presentation brochure<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 of the Institute, published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fgu.cas.cz\/upload\/files\/Fyziologick\u00fd\u00dastav70let.pdf\">a series of articles on current research topics in the journal <strong>Vesm\u00edr (3\/2024).<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And also we would like to invite you to the symposium, which will take place on <strong>11 September 2024<\/strong> in the building of the Institute of Physiology in Prague 4 &#8211; Kr\u010d (V\u00edde\u0148sk\u00e1 1083).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>9.30 &#8211; 11.00\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Opening ceremony<\/p>\n<p>11.00 &#8211; 12.00\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A look into the history of the Institute<\/p>\n<p>13.00 \u2013 17.00\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Science for the next decade<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This year the Institute of Physiology of the CAS celebrates 70 years since its foundation.
