This was followed by <strong>Prof. Jan Nedergaard&#8217;s<\/strong> lecture \u201cThermogenesis: by which means?\u201d, focusing on the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which the body produces heat.<\/p>\n<p>The lectures were well attended, not only by scientists from IPHYS CAS, but also by experts in the field of metabolism and thermoregulation from other research institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 26 May 2025, two lectures by prominent Swedish scientists from Stockholm University &#8211; Prof. Barbara Cannon and Prof. Jan Nedergaard &#8211; were held at the Institute of Physiology of the CAS.
