However, the precise mechanisms behind this protective effect remain elusive.<\/p>\n<p>Our research deals with the pivotal role of the transcription factor HIF-1\u03b1 in mediating the cardioprotective benefits of ketosis, induced through short- and long-term intermittent fasting.
