The indirect calorimetry system can be supplemented with a module that enables programmable control of food access. Food restriction can be set based on time, the amount of consumed food, or the amount of food consumed by control mice.
Unique features:
– The module allows programming of food access depending on multiple factors.
– The animal can be acclimatized to the environment, minimizing the impact of stress on the measured values.

Before submitting the Experiment Project, it is highly recommended to discuss the design of the experiments with the service department staff. If animals are to be measured repeatedly during the experiment, they can be housed in the on-site animal facility for the duration of the experiment.
Evaluation of respiratory coefficient, energy expenditure, physical activity, and food intake in 5-minute intervals and then in user-defined intervals are part of the service – link to price list.
