The operating and dissection room is equipped with standard laboratory equipment, isoflurane anesthesia (RWD), and a dissection stereomicroscope (Olympus). It is used for operations on animals associated with indirect calorimetry or DXA scanner operation (e.g., implantation of telemetric chips) and for dissection of animals that have been measured by indirect calorimetry or DXA scanner and for which the experiment is terminated after this measurement.
Unique features:
– Availability of isoflurane anesthesia and a dissecting stereomicroscope.
The laboratory can only be reserved if the experiment is related to the operation of indirect calorimetry, a DXA scanner, or mice housed in the animal facility or climate chamber. The laboratory can be reserved either for half a day (in the case of handling mice housed in the animal facility or climate chamber) or for a whole day (in the case of handling animals that are not housed in the Phenotyping Unit).
