CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) is high-level taxonomy, including 14 roles, that can be used to represent the roles typically played by contributors to scientific scholarly output. The roles describe each contributor’s specific contribution to the scholarly output. This web tool helps to summarize contributions of individual authors and prepare the Author contributions paragraph for a scientific journal.

Generator of CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) paragraphs for manuscripts

CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) is high-level taxonomy, including 14 roles, that can be used to represent the roles typically played by contributors to scientific scholarly output. The roles describe each contributor’s specific contribution to the scholarly output. The CRediT taxonomy does not determine who qualifies as an author. Each author on a paper may have one or more CRediT contribution roles, but having a role described by the taxonomy does not automatically qualify someone as an author. Authorship is determined by following journal policy on author contributions.
