Press release: Targeted diabetes treatment: new compound protects bone cells, brings patients closer to safer diabetes treatment

Scientists from the Institute of Physiology of the CAS, the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the CAS and the National Institute of CarDia have made significant progress in the research of type 2 diabetes treatment. The new experimental compound MSDC-0602K could be a safer alternative to current diabetes drugs. It protects bones and reduces bone fragility. The new study was published in the prestigious journal Metabolism.
