Diabetes today: New Horizons in Research and Treatment

The Sixteenth Public Lecture in the Series “The Human Body in Health and Disease” will focus on current knowledge and treatment options for diabetes, a disease associated with impaired production of the hormone insulin in the pancreas and its action in the body. Research, therapeutic approaches, and transplantation options will be presented by RNDr. Lydie Plecitá, Ph.D., from the Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and Assoc. Prof. MUDr. Jan Kříž, Ph.D., from the Diabetes Center at the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague.
