We warmly invite you to the Science Fair, where IPHYS will also have its booth. Come and discover how the human body works from molecules to the whole organism, and why understanding it is key to health. We look forward to seeing you from June 4–6, 2026, at PVA Expo Letňany in Prague, from 10:00 to 18:00!
Are you interested in how the heart develops, how biological clocks function, or how the brain stores memories? At our booth, we will present modern methods used to study human physiology and the causes of disease. You will learn, for example, why obesity is considered a disease and how serious conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, or heart attack develop.
The human body is made up of trillions of cells. At our booth, you will find out what each of them contains, and you can even build your own cell model. We have also prepared a range of additional interactive activities and scientific puzzles for visitors of all ages. You will also get a glimpse into the world of glowing cells under a fluorescence microscope.
Already now, you can take part in our quiz on Instagram about scientific instruments that we cannot bring to the Science Fair but are essential for our research. Those who correctly guess what they are will receive a gift from us at the booth.
The program will also include a lecture by our colleague Kateryna Semenovykh, “Human as a Machine: The Secrets of the Clocks Within Us”, which will introduce the fascinating world of biological rhythms as part of the accompanying Science Point program.
