Press release: Antidiabetic drugs can also help with heart and liver disease

Glyphosates are antidiabetic drugs, the beneficial effects of which are manifested not only in the treatment of diabetics. The team from the Institute of Physiology of the CAS looked at how they work in rats in combined liver and heart disease. The result was an improvement in a number of metabolic parameters and heart function, in addition to a reduction in weight gain and a more effective response of the body to increased fat intake. The team plans to further study the differences in the effects of these antidiabetic drugs depending on the sex and age of the individual.
