We would like to invite you to an interactive workshop “The Rhythm of Life in Light and Darkness“, which is part of the Brain Week programme. It will take place on Sunday, 16 March 2025 from 10:00 to 16:00 in the building of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (Národní 1009/3, Prague 1) in room 108. This programme can be attended without reservation.
Join us on a journey to discover the invisible rhythms that constantly guide our lives from birth to death, every second, day or year. Do you enjoy this as much as we do, and would you also like to work in the field of circadian biology? We offer you a unique “Science in the Dark” experience! Equipped with night vision glasses, you will be able to experience the challenges faced by researchers of a biological clock that is constantly ticking in the light and in the dark. In this workshop, we will discover together the fascinating world of biological clocks that synchronise with light, yet work in total darkness. Do you have any idea what your life would be like if you had no idea about real time? And how does our body know whether it is night, morning or evening?
