The Institute of Physiology regularly participates in the Week of Science of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and this year was no different. On Thursday, 7 November, it welcomed over 200 people of all ages interested in science and physiology. A programme was prepared for them, during which they could visit several scientific laboratories and peek under the hood of scientific work. Another point of the programme was a visit to the interactive exhibition “The Physiological Chamber of J. E. Purkyně”. Here visitors could test and expand their knowledge of the functioning of the human body. The individual stations helped to answer the questions “What does the human body look like inside?” , “How does the biological clock tick?” or “How much sugar does food contain? What are the consequences of obesity?”. Thank you to all visitors and volunteers involved in the organisation and we look forward to seeing you in 2025.
